Happy Mother's Day!

Well, last night I stayed up later than normal to finish my mother's day presents. I made chocolate-chile truffles. I made a small batch, so there were only eight truffles, but they're easy to make. The longest part of the process is waiting for the chocolate to partially harden. I'll give you the recipe. I don't know the exact measurements, considering I didn't use a recipe, but I'll estimate. I eyed everything...

Chocolate Chile Truffles

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
3 tbs. dutch-processed cocoa powder
1/2-1 tsp. chile powder (depending on your own preferences)

Melt the chocolate in the microwave in a microwave-safe bowl or melt it in the top of a double-boiler. When it's completely melted, put it in the fridge until partially hardened, about 10-15 minutes. Mix the cocoa powder with chile powder in a small bowl. With a melon baller, scoop out hunks of chocolate and shape them into spheres. Roll the balls in the cocoa powder mixture then place them on a sheet of wax paper. Put them again in the fridge until they are completely hardened.

Really easy, right? Shoot me a comment if you make 'em!
Happy Mother's Day and Have Fun!
